Bullipede Team Tips
- Final Instructions!
- Teams must arrive at the start area EARLY - by 5:00 p.m.! - to avoid road closures & traffic congestion. This will also give you time to get properly duded up and warmed up for the big event.

- Course map link so you won't get lost!
- Parking and bathrooms are at the Folsom Community Center, 52 Natoma St., one block from the start line.
- Pick up your bib numbers at the start line area.
- After your team finishes, if you are in a big rush - hightail it via Traders Lane (behind Sutter St.) to the Powerhouse Pub/Chicago Fire Pizza to pick up your t-shirt.
- Those not so hurried can take a good look-see at the "Running of the Longhorns" (starts at 6:30), by hanging out near the finish line or on Sutter St.
- Once the longhorns have had their stampede, Sutter St. is open to all. Amble carefully - watch out for the bs! - up Sutter St. and over to the Powerhouse Pub/Chicago Fire Pizza to grab your t-shirt.
- The Awards Ceremony will be held there, along with Johny Cash-themed live entertainment.
- Awards for best three Bullipede costumes and to first three Bullipede team finishers.
- Award for first - a bull's head; award for second - a bull's tail; award for third - BS!
- Along with costumes, squirt guns and water balloons are encouraged!
- Ways to keep your team connected:
- Have each runner wear a belt. Run a soft rope or cable through a grommet or d-ring placed on each belt.
- Teather each runner with five separate pieces of rope or cable.
- Use a sheet - possibly two depending on how much space you want between each runner. Cut holes in the sheet for each runner and have each runner cinch the sheet in place with a belt.
- Be sure to leave enough space between each runner to prevent tripping.
- How to run as a Bullipede Team -- What's your goal?
- Faster finish times can be achieved by running in a row or group across the course rather than strung out single file.
- More costume visibility can be achieved with the members running in a line.
